What is your favorite (hot and iced) tea here at In-Tea?
What time is it??!
Which tea would you recommend to a “newbee” visiting for the first time? For a connoisseur?
For someone who is just beginning to branch out into the world of tea, I usually steer them to #218, Vanilla Coconut, or #317, Winter Mint. A veteran? Monkey Picked Oolong!
When are you most likely to be found working at the shop?
Almost every day until 2.
When not working, where are you most likely to be found/what are your hobbies?
If I’m not at work I’m at home. If I’m not at home, I’m at the gym. Exercise has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember! I also very much enjoy arts and crafts. I love making things with my hands (especially tea!). Michael’s is my candy store. I thoroughly enjoy snowboarding, yoga, rowing, knitting, cleaning, organizing, and proofreading.

What are your favorite genres of music…?!
Top two: Hands down my ultimate favorite is classical. Second place is classic rock.
Tell us what you’re currently studying in school! Completed school? What DID you study?
I am currently deciding what to finish my degree in. I was studying physical education at Wichita State then my unit was deployed several times due to the war, so I was unable to finish my degree. I hope soon, though!
Do you have any children? Tell us about them!
I have a beautiful, spunky little four year old daughter, Avery. We all call her “Pea.” She’s one of life’s greatest blessings. She has, is, and continues to refine me as a person.
Favorite vacation spot and/or memory?
Florida! I’ve travelled all over the world and my favorite place by FAR is Florida. Yes, Florida. If we could live there we would in a heartbeat. However, one of my most beloved travel memories is when I was in Thailand. I will never forget the places I visited there, the people I met, and the sights that I saw.
What is your favorite restaurant?
My ultimate favorite restaurant is Bubba Gump. Love their coconut shrimp, fries, and the atmosphere there! Not to mention the trivia is pretty fun as well! I wish we could eat there more often. My runner up?! Panera!
Tell us about your favorite Wild Thymes product available here at In-Tea!
The Thai Spring Roll. By FAR, my FAVORITE!!!
What is your favorite baked good item from the Taste of Denmark or Cinnafusions available here?
Oh man…such a hard decision every time I step into the bakery case…my favorite treat from the Taste of Denmark? Probably the chocolate chip scones.
Do you possess any hidden talents? What are they?!
I’m an expert with fart putty, make a killer guacamole, and can burp the alphabet.
Name the last book you read or are currently reading.
The last two books I completed were Parenting with Love and Logic, and The Five Love Languages! I am currently reading another excellent self-help book.
Ice cream or cookies?
Ice cream!
Favorite childhood memory…
Oh my goodness, so many…but two things stick out the most when I reflect on my life as a little girl. I loved going to the zoo with my dad and sisters (I have a dear love for animals). That was my favorite thing to do with my dad. Sliding down the slide at the pool while on his back was also a favorite!
What do you do to relax?
Drink tea! Knit, maybe watch a movie, make something.
Have a silly “OCD” or pet-peeve? Tell us about it!
Okay, I have a weird hang up with odd numbers. Nearly everything I do has to be in conjunction with odd numbers. For example, if someone were to offer me two cookies, I would either only eat one or would have to take one more to make three….!!? LOL. DUMB, I know!?!? But a good excuse to eat more cookies!!!!!
Water sports or snow sports?
Both!! I THRIVE around the water, but LOVE to snowboard!!
If you were a tea, which one do you think you would be and why…?
I’m going to say Vanilla Coconut. I love the ocean/water, and every time I indulge in an iced glass of Vanilla Coconut, it reminds me of the beach…laid back, fun-filled, and versatile! Many people have expressed how enthusiastic I am as a person- reminds me of Vanilla Coconut. Jam packed with flair, pop, and can really have the potential to draw you in and make you open minded, excited, and comfortable with the world of tea-just as I hope I am and can be for all of our beloved customers.
